George MacDonald

George Macdonald (1824-1905) was a friend to Lewis Carroll
and has been acknowledged as an important influence by
C.S.Lewis, J.R.R.Tolkien, W.H.Auden, Madeleine L'Engle and
many others.

One honest boy, Curdie, comes to the aid of the King and the
whole country is transformed.

This book follows
The Princess and the Goblin and together they
are the Curdie books which Lewis regarded so highly.
