Witchcraft its Power in the World Today was originally published in
The author William Seabrook was an acknowledged authority on
witchcraft and was an intimate of such figures as Upton Sinclair
(Author of Mental Radio) G I Gurdjieff (Author of Meetings With
Remarkable Men, Beelzebub's Tales to his Grandson) and the
remarkable Aleister Crowley.
It includes a large section on the use of sympathetic magic, in
particular the use of dolls.
While the account begins in a relatively conventional manner (for
the time) it gets more interesting the further you read.
All in all a very insightful account of the practice of witchcraft,
spiritualism, vampirism and the werewolf and similar phenomena
as they existed in the early part of the Twentieth Century.
